HM Treasury plans to scrap VAT on e-publications

HM Treasury has announced that plans to scrap VAT on e-publications such as e-books have been fast-tracked and will come into force tomorrow. In the Report of the Writers Group Inquiry into Authors’ Earnings a call was made for the Government to scrap VAT on e-publications.
